Design 2232, C1 & C5 - Mach II, Peanut Brittle and Leonore

Peanut Brittle

Three boats were built to this design for the one-tonner class. Two were built by Palmer Johnson of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. These aluminum racing yachts were minimalist racing machines. The first, Mach II was launched in 1975.

Leonore was built by Minneford Yacht Yard of City Island, New York. She is also constructed of aluminum. She was launched in 1975. She was a slightly modified version of the previous two boats and is much more of a cruiser-racer.
